 Music is used as a vehicle of worship. It can be a tool in teaching biblical truths, encouraging, as an invitation to come to Christ.
Currently, our main use of music is within the framework of the morning and evening service and in the future, music will be used more widely in other ministries in the church.
Outreach to the local community will include visits to the sick, elderly etc, as it did with David soothing Saul’s soul or a team going into the local school at lunchtime. Outreach to the broader community would use being used in mission on a global scale i.e. a team travelling to Zimbabwe to share Jesus with orphans.
We are looking for people of all ages and backgrounds. As we seek to make the team wider than those involved in playing during services, there will be many ministry opportunities for many ages. We are always open to more singers, musicians, worship leaders etc but the key is to fine tune the overall working of the ministry so each person feels needed and is serving in a place suited to them
We need to hold regular training sessions for particular areas of ministry-vocals, sound etc. This may include going to external conferences.
